Humans without borders is involved in additional activities, mainly in the agricultural sector.
Our volunteers are sent to assist farmers who work their lands in proximity to Jewish settlements or strongholds, in which the inhabitants show particularly violent behavior towards Palestinians.
This help is mostly needed during olive harvest season (September-November), citrus fruit harvest (October-December), organizes groups of Israelis and International visitors to assist Palestinian farmers in the olive harvest. The work involves facilitating the trips of visitors from abroad, organizing accommodations and local transportation, and liaising with the Palestinian farmers. This work can be dangerous due to the opposition from Jewish settlers to the farming activity in the vicinity of settlements. Armed settlers sometimes attach the workers on the olives groves, driving them away .and sometimes during the plowing and planting seasons. In the latter case the organization assists farmers through the acquisition of saplings.
Humans Without Borders also sends volunteers to assist in agricultural work in areas, mostly west of the "security fence", where Israeli authorities severely restrict the access of Palestinian farmers to their lands, which became stranded on the "wrong" side of the fence.
